Flooding forces road closures across Mid-Michigan

LANSING, Mich (WLNS) — The heavy rain is causing major travel issues Thursday morning. Multiple roadways have been blocked and closed off due to standing water.

6 News has been at the scene of numerous problems caused by this relentless rain and one of the bigger closures will mean thousands of people will need to find another route.

Flooding has caused the north and south-bound lanes to closed on US-127 near Frandor. That’s between Exit 78 and 76.

CLOSURES:

  • Part of Grand River ave is closed from Coolidge Rd. to US-127
  • Eastbound I-94 is closed at Airport road
  • S. Pennsylvania avenue was closed off just south of E. Hazel road
  • East and Westbound I-96 is closed at Golf Club Rd.
