DETROIT, Mich. – The Detroit Lions have announced a new partnership with the ride-sharing service Uber, which will be serving as the official rideshare partner for the 2016 season.

Detroit Lions Team President Rod Wood says the agreement will provide safe and reliable transportation to fans.

A part of the agreement is a special pickup and drop-off point near Ford Field for those using the ride-hailing service for the team’s home games.

The team says the location along the northbound East Fisher Service Drive will be exclusive for Uber.

The Lions say fans using Uber on gamedays also will be eligible for special Lions’ giveaways, with a promotion code for first-time users
