JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) – The Center for Family Health is opening its third COVID-19 testing site in the Jackson area on Monday, May 4.
The new site is at Northwest Community Health Center, 6700 Rives Junction Road.
Testing is available to all community members, not just Center for Family Health patients. It is available to essential workers and first responders, even if they show no symptoms, according to a news release.
“Testing will continue to be important, and we want to offer a variety of settings for people,” Molly Kaser, Center for Family Health president/CEO, said in the release.
Having readily available testing is essential for reopening Michigan, officials have said.
The Center for Family Health has testing sites at 505 N. Jackson St. and in the parking lot of the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, 1107 Adrian St.
This is the fourth testing site in Jackson as Henry Ford Allegiance Health also has a drive-through testing site at at One Jackson Square, 100 E. Michigan Ave.
All Center for Family Health testing sites are by appointment only. Those who think they might have COVID-19 should call 517-748-5363. Callers will be asked to detail their symptoms and risk factors. If deemed necessary by medical guidelines, an appointment for testing can be made at any of the three sites.
Patients can drive-through the site or walk up. No one will be turned away if they cannot pay.
Hours for the three testing sites are as follows:
