Rick Johnson, 70, was sentenced to 4 years, 7 months in prison and two years of supervised release.

"Today's sentence sends a very strong message that public corruption will not be tolerated in the state of Michigan," U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Mark Totten told reporters after the sentencing hearing. "The length of this sentence reflects the seriousness of the offense."
